Akaroa Bridge Club Privacy Statement
All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure personal information provided by members will
be kept secure and not disclosed to any third party or another Akaroa Bridge Club member
other than that agreed upon.
Personal information will only be used to communicate with club members.
Agreement will be obtained in writing from each member for the following:
· The member’s email address and phone number to be included on a member contact list to be periodically updated and circulated to the membership.
· The member’s table money balance to be included on a summary list to be periodically updated and circulated to the membership.
· The member's permission to be obtained for all publication of photographs and / or name in marketing and promotional material.
· Club session results to be emailed to all members in CC (Carbon Copy) format and published on the Akaroa Bridge Club website.
The member's personal handicap is available to that member from the Secretary and / or
Scorer on request.
Personal information will be retained until such time as a member ceases membership with
the club.
Personal information no longer required will be disposed of securely.
Members are able to contact the Secretary to check and / or update their personal information
e.g. email address etc.
The Committee will provide electronically, to all members, the draft minutes of all General Meetings and the approved minutes of all Committee Meetings, excluding any matters that are determined as confidential

Members names and results are available publically on the X-Club Website. Members names and Masterpoints are available publically on NZ Bridge website.
If a member has any concerns regarding a breach of privacy, he/she should contact the Akaroa Bridge Club immediately. A member also has the right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner if the club cannot adequately address his/her concerns.
